Good Speech Topics On Education and moral values:-
The heart of education is where values have their genesis; it should be discovered not in formal bookish education, which can only supplement, but in informal education, in the very art of living. The end of education is to mould a student as "a perfect man". Character education promotes moral development in a multicultural society. By Moral Values, we mean several attributes and behaviours like Humility, Kindness, Judgement, Self-reliance, Loyalty, Concentration, Etiquette, Sportsmanship, etc. A very old saying—"Values are caught and not taught" is also not relevant today due to undesirable situations in the society. If we start educating in this way, we can begin to hope for a better future. It is not easy to resist the mode of operation of society. However, it is equally true that it is only education that has enough strength to meet the challenge successfully. Teachers are the builders of society and imparting values through education is their responsibility. In an education system, where our goal is to inculcate values among students, an ideal teacher is needed, who through his thoughts, words and deeds give an impression of an honest, upright life which can serve as a model for the students to follow and emulate. As a teacher, he has to set an example, for the children to watch their teachers carefully. Values are half learnt from the parents, the rest are learned from the teachers.

For a class-teacher, moral education provides a clear reference point for talking about things that pertain to all children in school: behaviour, relationships, self-worth, courage, truth, tolerance, respect and many other everyday issues. In the UNESCO report of International Commission on Education for the 21st Century, the emphasis has been laid on the reorientation of pre-service and in-service teacher education for enabling teachers to acquire intellectual and emotional qualities. Imbibing values is a journey that holds a child together with his social set-up. In the process of enhancing the moral values in an educational administration, "Transformational Leadership" plays an efficient role. James Burns (1978) first introduced the concept of transformational leadership in educational administration and management. It is a process that changes and transforms individuals by inculcating the values, ethics, beliefs, codes of conduct and most importantly, the organisational goals. Individualised consideration and inspirational motivation are required for effective leadership in any organisation. Thus, the aforesaid suggested plan of transformational leadership could help to run an educational organisation in a better way and would also be useful in passing on the leadership qualities to other aspiring teachers to create new future leaders. Parents also have a great role in moulding the child's character. They are the child's first teachers and home is the first education centre where a child learns his basics. They are the ones who need to preach some of the values like fear of sin, love of God, morality in society, self-sacrifice etc. In fact, training of parenthood should precede the training of the child as a learner of values and their efflorescence in the society or the nation as a whole.
