Impromptu Speech Topics Environment Development:-
Geography is thought to be the study of the earth's surface alone. However, geography is much more than that. The environment is a sum of all conditions that surround and influence a human being at any given point of time and space. The environment consists of the natural environment and the human-made environment. The natural environment consists of the physical environment and biological environment. The three major components of the physical environment are the atmosphere, the lithosphere, and the hydrosphere. On the other hand, development means the process of making something more advanced by modifying a piece of land such as roads, buildings, access, etc. Humans have found many ways of making their life comfortable. They have created good houses, labor-saving gadgets, entertainment appliances, good roads, medicines etc. A large number of trees are cut for laying railway tracks. The paper on which we write is also made of many trees. However, in doing so, they have damaged the environment in many ways. He is known as the Chipko Movement leader and follower of non-violence and Satyagraha. The Chipko Movement was started in 1973 in the State of Rajasthan. The people organized resistance to the destruction of forests. People hugged the trees and prevented them from being cut. It is a fact that the worst effect of air pollution has an adverse effect on the climate. Human beings are, however, most concerned with the direct effect of pollutants upon their health. Indeed many of the polluting substances are beneficial, even essential to humans but they become toxic at a very high level. Some effects of pollution on humans are obviously undesirable. Among the pollutants are gaseous pollutants, metallic contaminants, pesticides, toxic organic and inorganic compounds, radioactive substances and biological contaminants. Though the effects of these pollutants have already been discussed the world over for a long time, much is left to be done in the area for better understanding. Many noxious gaseous pollutants include carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and gases emitted by motor vehicles.![]() |

The pollutants may lead to :
• Acute illness, possibly leading to death
• Chronic diseases such as chronic bronchitis and asthma
• General unexpected and unpleasant symptoms and irritation causing discomfort, nervous and unpleasant reaction to offensive odor. Air pollution plays an important role in affecting plant life by causing widespread damage to trees, fruits, vegetables, and ornamental flowers. For example—fluoride which acts as a strong poison on plants causes the collapse of leaf tissues. Photochemical smog bleaches many plants such as spinach, tobacco and other leafy plants. We all know that sustainable development is a process that involves the use of natural products and energy in such a way that it does not harm the environment. Sustainable development is the need of the present time not only for the survival of mankind but also for its future protection. On the technical level, for example, it involves the sustainable technologies that take advantage of renewable energies like the Sun, wind, and recycling practices and more efficient technologies. I would like to conclude that we should avoid the wastage of papers.
